The objective of the Yacht Accountant is to manage a portfolio of yacht management clients, providing detailed monthly accounts including payroll, budgeting and assisting the captain with the financial operations of the yacht.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate accounts (numerically & categorised) to the owner /representative.
Arrange timely payment of invoices.
Communicate effectively with the captain and owner / representative.
Provide detailed fund requests.
Arrange timely payment of crew salaries.
Point of contact for owners / representatives/ owners' office & captains on all financial matters.
Prepare and issue monthly fund requests to owners or their representatives for upcoming expenses.
Arranging payments on behalf of the yacht.
Liaising with suppliers regarding invoicing to the yachts.
Liaising with the captain to ensure that they have sufficient cash / debit card funds to operate the yacht.
Provide detailed monthly accounts to the owner / representative.
APA management.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience of working in a pressured environment, taking full responsibility for their workload, ability to demonstrate time management skills.
Previous experience within a numerical field.
Strong communication skills.
Fluent English, both written & spoken.
Strong IT skills.
Experience within the yachting industry, or a related field, is preferred.
